Descrizione del progetto

The project is developed within the INTERREG Central Europe Cooperation Programme.

The program will last 3 years and is structured in 5 Work Packages (WPs).

WPM is responsible for the management of the project, WPC is responsible for communication activities and spread of results, WP1 will deal with Methodology and identification of common terms; WP2 for the definition of instruments and pilot actions to be applied to each Functional Urban Area (FUA); WP3 is responsible for Pilot Actions of each FUA.

WPM and WPC will be active for the entire duration of the project, while WP1, WP2 and WP3 will have shorter durations.

SiTI will be responsible for the WPC and will participate to some activities developed within the other Work Packages.

Obiettivi

  • Capacity building in understanding urban/peri-urban areas internal Coherence
  • Strengthening component of land and soil in functional urban areas in the integrated environmental management
  • Protection of land resources and reduction of urban sprawl in functional urban areas

  • Definition of communication strategies and their application
  • Cooperation with the Metropolitan City of Torino in defining common terms, methods and case studies
  • Common use of the Interactive Visualization Tool (InViTo) as a common tool for the 7 FUAs Pilot Areas
